TEMPERATURE CONTROL UNITS
From concept to continuous operation, we will be with you every step of the way. Our temperature control units are built to your process application requirements. Redundancy is typically not built into temperature control units, so we design all of our systems using only the highest quality components. Our experienced designers and engineers layout our skids with accessibility to critical components a priority for ease of maintenance and service.
HOT OIL UNITS
Hot oil units are available for industrial processes requiring fluid temperatures up to 650 deg. F. These units feature low watt density electric heaters, all welded construction to reduce leak points. Systems are available in single and multiple zone configurations, with pumping capabilities up to 120 GPM and come completely pre-wired. Every design starts with the proper fluid selection, and we have provided packages with fluids from all of the major engineered fluid manufacturers. Fluids must meet film temperature requirements for hot applications to prevent coking and carbonizing the fluid or freeze protection for cold applications to maintain turbulent flow for the optimum heat transfer coefficient.

- Chiller options for temperatures down to –40 deg. F
Oil weigh units provide automatic oil weigh with reliable, low maintenance operation. Units are designed for staining and non-staining process oils.

HOT WATER UNITS
P Series Portable temperature control units are designed for compact, single stand-alone transportability, or grouped together on a common skid for multi-zone operation. Our portable units are made in the USA using robust American components. Our units are easily the most durable on the market. These units provide flow rates from 5 to 50 GPM and heating from 6 to 12 KW. A brazed plate heat exchanger is used for cooling. General purpose electrical with single loop self contained PID controller. These units are excellent for small extrusion applications.
X Series Temperature control units are designed specifically for temperature control of mixer applications. Systems come in two zone or three zone configurations with separate zone controls for mixer rotors and sides.
Options include
- Close or long coupled pumps
- Electric immersion heating with on/off or modulating control with solid state or SCR heater controls
- Steam heated shell & tube, gasketed plate & frame, brazed plate or welded plate heat exchangers. All heat exchangers are ASME code stamped.
- Closed loop cooling via shell & tube, gasketed plate & frame, brazed plate, or welded plate heat exchangers. All heat exchangers are ASME code stamped.
- Open loop cooling via direct injection from the cooling source into the process recirculation loop
Single loop PID temperature controller or PLC control
Y Series temperature control unit is designed for medium to high flow rates in single or multi-zone skids. Zones are placed horizontally for easy access to pumps and control valves. The Y series units are excellent for mill and calendar applications.
Options include

- Steam heated shell & tube, gasketed plate & frame, brazed plate or welded plate heat exchangers. All heat exchangers are ASME code stamped.

Z Series Vertical Stacked temperature control units are designed for multiple temperature control zones on the same application. Vertically stacked units are easily serviced and take up minimal floor space. These units provide flow rates from 10 to 50 GPM and heating from 6 to 18 KW. Cooling is provided with closed loop shell & tube or brazed plate heat exchangers, or open loop direct injection cooling via on/off solenoid or modulating pneumatic control valves. A single loop PID temperature controller is standard, with options for other controllers to meet your specifications. The Z series units are excellent for small and medium extrusion and mixing applications.
CUSTOM TEMPERATURE CONTROL UNITS
Custom engineered temperature control units were designed to heat/ cool systems for batch reactors or continuous processes with temperatures from –100 deg. F to 700 deg. F. Our applications and engineering staff are available to offer engineering assistance for your specific process requirements.
